Kogi: Abducted aides of Kabba Bunu LG boss, 4 others regain freedom

Four Persons, including three aides of the Caretaker Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area in Kogi State, Barr Zacchaeus Dare Michael, have regained freedom from the hands of their abductors.

It would be recalled that the caretaker chairman alongside his three aides and other people were kidnapped last two weeks at Okene/Kabba road in Kogi State.

The caretaker chairman, however, was released few hours later due to ill health.

DAILY POST gathered that the three aides who regained from the abductors were identified as Omonisaiye Andrew, Olorundare Ojo and Sunday.

Speaking to DAILY POST on Tuesday, the caretaker chairman, Michael expressed appreciation to God for the release of the abducted persons, pointing out that what the enemy had thought would be used to end his life has become a testimony.

“I want to express my profound gratitude to the Kogi State Governor for the swiftness in ensuring that those abducted were released unhurt. I also want to express my appreciation to the good people of Kabba Bunu, Kogi State and Nigeria in general for their prayers that led to the successful release of those abducted,” he noted.

He further praised the men of the Nigerian Army, Police, Department of State Services and local hunters for their courage and bravery that led to the rescue.
