The Kwara State government has awarded contracts for the rehabilitation of three waterworks to ensure regular supply of water to the people of the state.
The waterworks located in Ilorin (Sobi), the state capital, Lafiagi and Zambufu in Edu local government area of the state were awarded to Hydrogold Ltd and Shegs Contracts Ltd.
The government asked the contractors to commence immediate rehabilitation works on the three waterworks.
The state commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Lade disclosed this while handing over the Sobi waterworks, Ilorin, to a contractor for rehabilitation.
Lade charged the contractor to execute quality job by strictly adhere to the contractual agreement.
“I want to believe that we were here some time ago to assess the level of damage caused by flood. You should be able to do a thorough and quality job for us”, the Lade said.
The commissioner, while handing over the Lafiagi and Zambufu Water works to Shegs Contracts Ltd, urged the contractor to deliver the project on schedule.
