Kylian Mbappe Officially Unveiled As Real Madrid Player

France professional football player, Kylian Mbappe, has been officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player.

Naija News understands that the 25-year-old will don the number 9 jersey for the La Liga giants.

The French forward, who had undergone his medical examination earlier in the day, signed a five-year contract with the Los Blancos under manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

During the unveiling ceremony on Tuesday, Mbappe was presented with the No. 9 jersey by the club’s president, Florentino Perez.

“Wow,” Mbappe said in Spanish to thousands of fans gathered at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

“For years, I’ve dreamed of playing for Real Madrid, and today my dream has come true,” said the 25-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain player.

“I’m a happy boy. I’m going to give my life for this club,” he added.

Naija News understands that Mbappe’s new teammates resumed training on Monday, however, the striker, who led France in the European Championships, will enjoy a brief period of rest prior to the start of his season in Madrid.

The 25-year-old made the announcement last month about his decision to join Real Madrid, however, he has faced a series of challenges in the past few weeks.

This includes breaking his nose while representing France at Euro 2024 and feeling increasingly frustrated with the necessity of wearing a mask.

Mbappe, despite being pressed due to the injury, opted not to wear a mask against Spain in the Euros semi-final match.

Mbappe was unable to lead France to victory as they were narrowly defeated.

Mbappe scored only one goal during the Euros, a penalty against Poland.

The player is looking forward to starting fresh with Real Madrid.
