Lafarge Africa has empowered customers with 155 trucks to boost business operations.

The company, in a statement, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting customers’ growth and operational excellence by allocating 155 trucks to enhance logistics capabilities.

It stated, “This milestone initiative underscores Lafarge Africa’s dedication to empowering customers and fostering long-term partnerships built on mutual growth and success.

“The allocation of 155 trucks reflects Lafarge Africa’s broader commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric growth. By addressing critical logistics challenges, the company continues to set new benchmarks in the construction industry. Additionally, the initiative aligns with Lafarge’s sustainability goals by reducing inefficiencies and minimising emissions from repeated transportation trips.”

 The Commercial Director of Lafarge Africa Plc, Gbenga Onimowo, represented by the Head of Sales, Lagos, Babatunde Odufote, described the initiative as transformative for the company and its customers.

 He said, “Today marks a transformative moment in Lafarge Africa’s unwavering commitment to our customers’ success. These trucks are more than just vehicles—they are tools of empowerment designed to enhance supply chain control, strengthen market presence, and unlock new business opportunities. This is not just an investment in logistics; it’s an investment in our shared vision for progress and sustainable growth.”

 The Logistics Director of Lafarge Africa, Osaze Aghatise, represented by the Head of Logistics Projects, Ogbonna Arua, highlighted the operational significance of the initiative and said logistics was a cornerstone of any business, particularly in the construction and building materials industry.

“Timely and efficient delivery of products is essential for meeting project timelines, satisfying customers, and maintaining our competitive edge,” Aghatise stated. “With these 155 trucks, we are equipping our customers to deliver Lafarge products with greater efficiency, ensuring reliability and excellence in service delivery across the nation.”

 The beneficiaries of the truck allocation expressed their excitement and gratitude for the initiative.

The Chief Executive Officer of Abiodun Akinleye Nigeria Enterprises, Abiodun Akinleye, a long-time Lafarge partner, remarked that the initiative would help expand market reach and business growth, stressing, “With Lafarge’s support, we can significantly increase our capacity—from handling 5,000 or 10,000 tonnes monthly to potentially 20,000 tonnes. The results will undoubtedly be evident.”

Also, Boatan Ventures CEO, Abolaji Akigbogun, explained how the trucks will address his business challenges.

Akigbogun remarked, “For a while, I struggled to meet customer demand due to a lack of logistics support, losing orders as a result. With this initiative, I’m confident it will empower me to grow, stop the loss of orders, and stabilise my operations. I deeply appreciate Lafarge’s efforts in supporting businesses like mine.”
