Lagos CJ fosters synergy with Yoruba Lawyer Forum

At a cocktail party organised to open the 2024 National Conference of Egbe Amofin Oodua (The Yoruba Lawyers Forum) held in High Court premises, Lagos recently, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba reiterated his promised to foster synergy with members of Egbe Amofin Oodua of the Nigeria Bar Association towards promotion of rule of law in the state.

At a cocktail party organised to open the 2024 National Conference of Egbe Amofin Oodua (The Yoruba Lawyers Forum) held in High Court premises, Lagos recently, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba reiterated his promised to foster synergy with members of Egbe Amofin Oodua of the Nigeria Bar Association towards promotion of rule of law in the state.

The Chief Judge who was represented by Justice Olutoyin Ipaye said the cocktail event was to enable the bench and bar to have a good interaction for the success of the conference.

Ipaye encouraged members of Egbe Amofin to always promote the Omoluabi concept that the Yoruba race is known for in Nigeria and that Egbe Amofin Oodua is a laudable association. She also noted that, the first Nigeria to practice law, Spara Williams is a Yoruba man.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Conference, Kunle Adegoke, SAN, emphasised that the group is not created for ethnic disunity but rather it’s created for the uniqueness of promoting the cultural value.

The cocktail party was graced by notable personalities in the sector which includes Justices of Lagos High Court which includes Justice Modupe Nicole Clay, Justice Raliat Adeniyi and Justice Hakeem Oshodi. Also, in attendance are the publisher of the Supreme Court Judgments, Mr Layi Babatunde (SAN), Deacon Dele Adeshina (SAN) Magistrates and Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Chairman of Ikeja, Ikorodu and other branches of NBA Lagos and South West.
