Lagos Continental gets recognition

Lagos Continental Hotel has been honoured with the title of Hotel of the Year at the 2024 Hotel Managers Conference in recognition of the hotel’s contribution to luxury hospitality.

The event, which took place recently in Lagos, was the hotel’s second major recognition this year after being named the Best Nigerian Hotel Brand of the Year 2024 at the International Hospitality, Tourism & Eco-Sustainability Forum in April.

The General Manager of Lagos Continental, Karl Hala, in his acceptance speech said that the recognition underscored the hotel’s leadership in the African luxury hospitality sector.

“Every award we win solidifies the efforts we put into making this hotel a standout success. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to this achievement. Specifically, I acknowledge the staff and the entire Continental Hotels Group Nigeria team for fostering a culture of warmth, hospitality, and exceptional guest experiences. Every milestone we reach, we achieve together, as a family,” he noted.

The Hotel of the Year award celebrates hotels that deliver outstanding service and demonstrate remarkable performance in the luxury hospitality industry.

Hala emphasised the importance of integrating technology into hospitality to enhance guest experiences and ensure service excellence.

“In an ever-evolving technological world, it is up to us as hospitality professionals to keep up with the times and look for innovative ways to continuously improve our service, such as using algorithms to personalise services for guests based on their past behaviours and experiences,” he stated.
