The Lagos State Government has announced plans to divert night traffic on Sura Ramp inward Osborne, Lagos Island area of the state to facilitate the asphaltic laying of the section of the road.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on X.com on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the repair work will begin on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, between 10pm and 4am on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
The statement partly read, “To manage the traffic inflow to the affected section during the repair works, motorists from the Third Mainland Bridge will not be able to turn right to access Osborne. They will move straight to Obalende or Onikan to continue with their journeys.
“Similarly, motorists from Sura will not be able to access the ramp. They will turn right to connect Onikan and continue their journeys.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
Motorists have been implored to be patient as the diversion is part of the traffic management plans for the ongoing rehabilitation works of the Osbourne Road Section.
