Late President Yar’Adua’s mother dies in Katsina

Hajia Dada, mother of the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, is dead.

She reportedly died at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina on Monday evening after a brief illness.

The family is expected to announce funeral rites later.

Yar’adua served as the President of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in May 2010.

He was succeeded by his vice, Goodluck Jonathan, who became the acting President and was later elected President.
