LPPC elevates 87 lawyers to Senior Advocate of Nigeria rank

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) under the Chairmanship of His Lordship, Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, at its 164” Plenary session held August 1, 2024, has approved the elevation of 87 Legal Practitioners to the Inner Bar.

The rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is awarded as a mark of excellence to members of the legal profession who have distinguished themselves as advocates and academics.

The meeting further considered five (5) different petitions written against some of the Applicants and were found that each of the petition lacked merit and thus dismissed.

The swearing — in ceremony of the 87 successful Applicants is scheduled to take place on Monday, the 30 day of September, 2024. The new awardees for year 2024 exercise are as follows in order of seniority:
