All appears far from pleasing at Manchester United currently, especially with the commencement of the new season on the horizon.
The Premier League powerhouse, who had a league campaign to forget in 2023/24, is looking to improve this season. They have made their intent clear with a flurry of transfers to strengthen the squad.
However, while Erik ten Hag’s side has indeed completed a few enviable transfers, the Manchester-based club has been dealt a major setback with one of their new signings ahead of the start of the new season.

The €62 million French man was substituted in the first half of the match against Arsenal due to what is reported as an ankle injury.
Recent footage from Centre Goal shows the young defender using crutches and limping as he returned to the team bus.
Manchester United had kept details of the ankle injury suffered by the French teenager largely under wraps, with significant information only reaching the media after more than 24 hours.
Ahead of the new season, Ten Hag’s side currently has only Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans as fit centre-backs.
Yoro’s injury adds to the concern, following an ankle injury sustained by forward Rasmus Højlund in the same match against Mikel Arteta’s team.
Manchester United will kick off their new season with a crucial Community Shield fixture against city rivals Manchester City.
Man United suffer double injury blow
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester United faced a double injury setback as the new Premier League season approaches, following injuries to Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro in their pre-season match against Arsenal.
New £59 million signing Leny Yoro also went down with an injury in the 30th minute and followed Hojlund back into the dressing room - compounding worries for United.
Last season, Manchester United struggled with injuries, and it seems Erik ten Hag faces similar challenges this year.
