Murder investigation begins after pensioner's death

A murder investigation has begun after the death of a pensioner in Crossmaglen, County Armagh.

The man in his 70s was found dead in the bathroom of a home on the Annaghmare Road on Saturday evening.

He had suffered serious head injuries.

A 67-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.

Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the man's death. Officers remain at the scene.
