‘My Hands Are Clean’: Wike Dances As Ikpeazu, Gbajabiamila Join Him To Celebrate Wife’s Appeal Court Status (Video)

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, danced to celebrate the appointment of his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, as one of the Appeal Court judges.

Nyesom Wike, in the video obtained by our reporters, was heard singing “lee nu aka muo, aka m dikwa ocha“, an Igbo Christian song that translates to ‘everyone should look and see that my hands are clean‘.

In the video, the former governor of Rivers State, Wike was accompanied in the joyous song by former governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Justice Eberechi’s swearing to Appeal Court has been criticized by former National Human Rights Commission Chairman, Professor Chidi Odinkalu.

Professor Odinkalu questioned the integrity of the nomination process. In a post on his X handle, he accused the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, of nepotism.

In another song in the video, Wike and Ikpeazu, sang “Onye ndi ebe a, onye ndi ebe a“, another Igbo song that means “if you give people from this side, you give people from the other side“.

The FCT Minister and the current Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, have been engaged in a political war over the control of the state.

Governor Fubara on Wednesday, in a statement alleged to be directed at Wike, said Wike and his camp dance on television and go behind to cry.
