The National Automotive Design and Development Council is planning to collaborate with Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, on electric vehicles and compressed natural gas technology.

The NADDC Director General, Oluwemimo Osanipin, on Wednesday during a working visit to ABUAD to discuss the partnership as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to support cleaner energy solutions and reduce carbon emissions within the transport sector, according to a statement.

The NADDC DG commended ABUAD’s technological strides and reiterated the agency’s commitment to boosting local production of automotive components.

“The collaboration with ABUAD will be strategic, especially in promoting electric mobility and converting vehicles to CNG, both of which are critical to reducing carbon emissions and achieving global environmental goals,” Osanipin stated.
