The new chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Adamu Bako Ninga, has promised to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state in 2027.

Adamu Ninga said this on Monday while taking the oath of office during his inauguration at the party’s secretariat in Jos Road, Lafia, Nasarawa State, administered by Barrister Muhammed Danjuma.

He promised to unite the party in the state. He noted that the main opposition party has issues but as a family, he would work with the executive members to reach out to the worrying members for reconciliation.

The PDP may have its challenges, but we are a family. My mission is to reconcile with all members, including those who may feel aggrieved, and to demonstrate that we can unite for a common goal,” he said.

The PDP chairman explained that Nasarawa people are suffering from bad governance of the APC at the federal level and the state level.

According to him, there was need to liberate the people of Nasarawa people. He stated that though the PDP may not be in power, they would work out strategies to save the people.

Power ultimately comes from God, and while we may not hold it at present, our focus must be on carefully planned strategies. Our aim is to liberate our people, who have suffered under this administration for nine years,” Ninga stated.

He promised to provide good governance within the party by carrying every executive member along in decision making.

I intend to provide good governance within the party, ensuring every member, especially my executive, is included in decisions and efforts.

“With the experience I’ve gained from working alongside past chairmen, I am confident that I can steer the PDP toward victory in 2027,” Daily Sun quoted him.
