Popular gospel artiste, Nathaniel Bassey, is poised to make an impact at the upcoming United States Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast, scheduled for January 20, 2025, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Bassey took to social media during the week to share details about the event, emphasising its significance as a non-official, faith-based gathering.
He wrote, “The Presidential Prayer Breakfast is a non-official and non-governmental event. It is a Faith Based platform where intercessory prayers and worship are offered to God on behalf of the office of the president and government of the nation.”
Highlighting the tradition surrounding the event, Bassey noted that it occurs once every four years, preceding the inauguration. “This event is held once in four years preceding the inauguration ceremony as a breakfast prayer meeting ahead of every new administration. And over the years it has been attended by leaders and dignitaries from around the world,” he added.
Hosted by Rev. Marrie Turner, it will feature performances from notable ministers including Dr Mario Bramnick, Dr Mike Kingsley, Rebecca Macchi and Ben Berquam.
