The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency has inducted 108 environmental experts to address the ecological challenges impeding Nigeria’s growth.

The Induction Ceremony was held recently in Abuja.

The NESREA’s Director General, Dr., Innocent Barikor, tasked them to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and ethics in carrying out their duties.

Barikor said, “The new environmental consultants will help the agency mitigate impacts and ensure compliance with environmental laws.

“Their addition emphasises the need for vigilance against ecological threats and provides a chance to collaborate with NESREA and others to promote sustainability.”

Barikor further highlighted that their work is vital for protecting natural resources, public health, and sustainable development.

“You will help us monitor and improve environmental practices,” he added.

On his part, the European Union’s Programme Officer, Mr Godfrey Ogbemudia, pledged ongoing collaboration with the regulatory body to drive long-term progress in Nigeria.
