NexHub Leadership Visits Nexim Bank To Enhance Non-oil Export Initiatives

The Nigerian Exporters Hub (NexHub) team, led by the Chairman Dr. Victor Ayemere, recently paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Stella Okotete, the Executive Director, Business Development at Nexim Bank, in significant move to enhance the future of non-oil exports in Nigeria.

The meeting, which took place on September 24, 2024, and included a thoughtful exchange of ideas aimed at fostering collaboration between both entities.

During the meeting, the Chairman of NexHub, Dr. Victor Ayemere expressed his gratitude to the management of Nexim Bank and specifically to Hon. Stella Okotete for her unwavering commitment to advancing businesses within the non-oil export sector.

He highlighted Hon. Okotete’s exceptional business acumen, noting that a one-minute discussion with her is akin to participating in a masterclass on business development.

Dr. Ayemere further remarked that his primary aim in joining the delegation was to introduce the newly appointed Managing Director of NexHub, Mr. Babatunde Faleke, who is a distinguished export professional and former director with over 32 years of experience at the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.

The NexHub delegation, which included Mr. Faleke and other key members, was warmly welcomed by the ED and her team, who expressed appreciation for the important work NexHub is doing in advancing non-oil exports.

In the course of the meeting, Mr. Faleke presented his vision for NexHub, focusing on the exploration of new avenues within non-oil export, particularly in the export of horticulture and services. He emphasized the necessity of expanding NexHub’s export portfolio and enhancing capacity building within the export sector.

In response, Hon. Okotete commended NexHub for its remarkable achievements and outlined several strategic recommendations to strengthen operations and partnerships which include engaging state governments to promote cash crop cultivation and harnessing the creative sector for export.

The meeting concluded with both teams expressing optimism for collaboration and a commitment to implementing the discussed action points. Timelines will be established to ensure effective execution of the initiatives aimed at bolstering non-oil export efforts in Nigeria.
