International music sensation Nicki Minaj has heaped praise on Nigerian Afrobeats star, Wizkid. The American rapper made this revelation during a recent live stream on StationHead, where she discussed her admiration for him.

Minaj expressed her respect for Wizkid’s talent and personality. “He’s a very, very cool, chill guy. He’s really that guy, very smart. I have much love and respect for him,” she said, expressing her admiration for the Nigeria -born singer.

The two music icons reportedly met while Minaj was working on her 2018 album, Queen, in a studio in Queens, New York. While their paths crossed during this period. However, there has been much speculation about a collaboration between the duo, but none has officially confirmed any joint project.

He collaborated with Beyonce on Lion King: The Gift album, on the track Brown Skin Girl, a song which celebrated Black beauty and culture, resonating with audiences worldwide. Additionally, he partnered with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, on the remix of Shape of You.
