President Bola Tinubu has charged officers of the Nigeria Armed Forces that the country must remain the giant of Africa.

President Tinubu also urged the Armed Forces to hit bandits and terrorists and arrest insecurity challenges facing the country.

The President said this on Saturday in Kaduna at the combined passing out parade of 823 officers of the 71 Regular Course, Army, Navy, and Air Force from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).

The graduates also included: Direct Short Service Course 28 (Army) and Direct Short Service Course 32 (Air Force) Cadets.

Represented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, Tinubu said “We are the giant of Africa and must remain so“.

He assured that his administration would continue to give all needed support to the Armed Forces, while acknowledging economic hardship experienced by the citizens, Tinubu noted that his government remained resolute in creating a better life for the citizens.

President Tinubu called on Nigerians to support the efforts of his government towards addressing economic challenges facing the country.

“The present government remains resolute in its mandate to create better living conditions for Nigerians, and to do this, it has begun taking several steps.

“As a government, we are working hard to confront these problems, including associated ones, to make our beloved nation more secure and improve the quality of life of the Nigerian citizen.

“We need the cooperation of all Nigerians for better answers in our interest,” the President said.

Tinubu told the cadets of the NDA that Nigeria requires loyalty and commitment from them. He charged them to be resolute in serving the nation whenever they are called.

The nation requires loyalty, commitment, dedication. Resilience and service from you.

“Be aware that wherever and whenever the nation comes calling, you will answer,” Tinubu added.
