Nigerian govt appoints ‘King of Steeze’ Farooq Oreagba Global Culture ambassador

The Nigerian Government has announced the appointment of the investment banker, Farooq Oreagba, as global ambassador of arts and culture.

Obi Asika, the Director General of the National Council of Arts and Culture, NCAC made the announcement in an Instagram post.

While displaying the Certificate of the recognition award, Obi Asika said “MD/CEO Designate of NG Clearing Limited, Mr Farooq Oreagba, appointed Honorary Global Ambassador for the National Council for Arts and Culture, under Chief @obiasika’s leadership.

“His recognition follows his impactful presence at the 2024 Ojude Oba festival, where his viral photos showcased ‘steeze’ with no age limit, celebrating Nigerian heritage and economic potential.

“The last time I saw him he had not gone viral but today it’s different. He is now the King of Steeze and brought global attention”, Asika stated.

Also, sharing the goodness on his page, the “King of Steeze” expressed his joy as he appreciated the Nigerian government for the opportunity.

DAILY POST recalls that Farooq Oreagba that was among the many eye-catching attendees at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival, stole the show.

Farooq who clad in a flamboyant yellow and green Asooke and rode on horseback in a picture of which went viral on social media, earned the “King of Steeze ” title.
