A Nigerian lecturer in Australia, Dr Adélaïde Tinuke, shocked netizens after revealing she earns $1844 (N2.8 million) per week.

Dr Adélaïde disclosed this while supporting her argument on X that "Nigeria is the definition of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop."

The lecturer said that while in Nigeria, she earned $110 (N170k) per month, but now she makes times 10 of that in a week.

She added that the same lecturing job she had earned a meagre amount in Nigeria was what she still does in Australia.

Legit.ng reported that a lady who worked as a teacher abroad had built a house for her mother.

Teacher who earns over N500k abroad

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a teacher who earned less than N100k a month had shared the whopping amount she makes overseas.

While working as a teacher in Ghana, she earned Ghc1,500 (N87,247.55) but now earns over $1,300 (N540,644) in Vietnam.

Ankomah told DJ Nyaami of SVTV Africa that she doesn't intend to return because "Ghana is expensive now''. According to Ankomah, her life changed after she immigrated to Vietnam to work as an English teacher.
