Vanguard: The increasing weight of unfavourable economic condition owing to weakening purchasing power has moved Nigerians into a state of hopelessness over the direction of the economy. Also, the widespread cut in spending by Nigerians in adjustment to the unfavourable economic conditions has triggered a decline in value of electronic payment transactions.


Daily Trust: Almost six years after the federal government awarded the contract for the reconstruction of the Abuja-Kaduna highway, the project has still yet to be completed and portions of it have become nightmares for travellers. The contract for the Abuja-Kaduna section of the project was awarded alongside the Kaduna-Zaria and Zaria-Kano sections on December 20, 2018, by the Muhammadu Buhari administration, and had an initial completion period of three years


Daily Independent: The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for­mer Minister of Information and Cul­ture, and the Ministry of Information to disclose the details of the agreement between the Federal Government and X, formerly Twitter, to assess wheth­er the agreement complies with the exercise of Nigerians’ human rights online.


Nigerian Tribune: A panic button about the funds for the running of local governments appeared to have been pressed in no fewer than 437 local governments areas spread across 19 states of the federation, following the imminent suspension of their federal allocations as a result of last Thursday’s ruling of the Supreme Court.
