The experts insist that unless urgent and very drastic steps are immediately taken, the crisis may worsen as floods continue to ravage farmlands in the northern states.

Vanguard: Following the current economic crisis in Nigeria, domestic airlines are struggling with a sharp drop in passenger traffic. The situation, which has negatively impacted their earnings, has become a source of concern in the industry.

The NThere were long queues of vehicles yesterday at the few filling stations selling petrol in the commercial city of Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. It is the same situation in many state capitals, cities and towns across the country. Major roads in Lagos were empty because motorists did not have petrol to move around.
