The PUNCH: The acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Umaru Damagum and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday knocked Chief Edwin Clark, after the elder statesman accused both of “colluding” to destroy the party. This comes as The PUNCH learnt that at least 12 members of the National Working Committee of the PDP, led by Damagum, were allegedly collaborating with Wike to unseat the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.


Vanguard: THE prolonged petrol scarcity worsened in Lagos, Ogun and other states, yesterday, as independent marketers started lifting the product from private depots at N780 per litre, from N595 per litre, indicating an increase of 31 per cent. The marketers believe the hike in price reflects the current demand and supply of the product in the domestic market.


The Nation: Foreign portfolio investors are investing more than three times what they used to invest in the Nigerian stock market. This is a major boost that underlines growing confidence in the Nigerian economy and continuing reduction in liquidity risks. It is the highest level of cumulative improvement in five years.
