The grand finale of the 2024 Nigerian Rugby League will feature an exciting matchup between the Lagos Bulls and the Kano Lions, representing the South and North respectively.
The Kano Lions secured the top position in the Northern Conference, which includes the Zazzau Bulls, Zaria Bees, and Kano Gazelles. Meanwhile, the Lagos Bulls led the South-West Conference, outperforming teams such as Eko Trinity, R2 Finesse, Lagos Rhinos, Lagos Haven, and De Kings.
Meanwhile, in a significant advancement for taekwondo in Nigeria, the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Kim Pankyu, has reaffirmed his commitment to the sport’s development following the successful conclusion of the 12th Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Tournament in Abuja.
The event showcased the talents of over 200 competitors, highlighting the growing popularity of taekwondo in Nigeria.
During his address at the tournament, Ambassador Pankyu emphasized the benefits of taekwondo, stating, “Taekwondo is not just a traditional Korean martial art loved worldwide; it also enhances physical strength while cultivating mental discipline.”
Pankyu expressed his ongoing support for the advancement of taekwondo in Nigeria, noting, “The Ambassador’s Championship is a key initiative to bolster taekwondo in Nigeria and equip our athletes for international competition.”
