Health advocate Dr. Chinonso Egemba, popularly known as Aproko Doctor, in collaboration with Simba Group, has installed an 11KW solar power solution at the Mother-Child Centre of Epe General Hospital, Lagos.

The project, powered by the Luminous Rayverter inverter, ensures uninterrupted electricity for critical healthcare services in the facility.

Speaking on the impact of the initiative as contained in a press statement issued on Monday, Egemba highlighted his commitment to saving lives through practical solutions.

“This Christmas, I wanted to give back in a way that truly saves lives. The Mother-Child Center plays a vital role in our healthcare system, providing essential care for mothers and newborns. For a project like this, I needed a solution I could trust—one that combines efficiency, durability, and strong after-sales support. Luminous was the natural choice,” he said.

The solar installation is expected to eliminate power disruptions, empowering healthcare workers to focus on delivering quality care without concerns about electricity outages.

Egemba, who boasts a following of over seven million across social media platforms, continues to leverage his influence to drive transformative changes in healthcare delivery.

A spokesperson for Simba Group, Maureen Hmmphrey-Izzi, expressed pride in the collaboration.

“We are honoured that Dr Egemba chose Luminous for this life-changing project. His commitment to impacting lives aligns perfectly with our mission of powering progress and enabling communities to thrive with reliable energy solutions. The Rayverter inverter is more than just a product—it’s a promise of reliability and innovation,” he noted.

This initiative not only underscores the critical role of solar energy in healthcare but also emphasizes the importance of partnerships in addressing pressing community needs. The solar power solution, tailored to meet the unique challenges of Nigeria’s power supply system, has already begun transforming the operations of the Mother-Child Center.

Egemba reaffirmed his dedication to improving healthcare accessibility in Nigeria.

“Healthcare is a fundamental right, and I will continue to advocate for innovative solutions that bridge the gaps in our system. This solar power project is just one step toward a brighter, healthier future for our communities,” he added.

The solar-powered facility now stands as a model for leveraging technology to enhance healthcare delivery. As the Mother-Child Center continues its mission to care for mothers and newborns, the initiative ensures that life-saving services remain accessible, reliable, and efficient.
