Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has commended the Southeast over plans to visit President Bola Tinubu to discuss the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Southeast governors met on Tuesday in Enugu.
During the meeting, it was agreed that they would visit Tinubu to discuss Kanu’s incarceration. This was part of the resolutions reached at the meeting and made public by the chairman of the forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Reacting, Sani posted in X: “The South East governors’ visit to the President over Kanu’s matter is a good and commendable step. It’s an opportunity to explore a political solution.
“No price is too high for a genuine and guaranteed peace. The nation cannot sleep well on a three-legged bed.”
