NNPP forum chair slams PDP, APC, says Nigeria needs alternative

The Chairman of the Forum of New Nigeria Peoples Party State Chairmen, Dr Tosin Odeyemi, has urged Nigerians to set aside sentiment and ensure that only a capable individual is elected President in the next election.

Odeyemi, who also serves as the Osun State Chairman of NNPP said that the two major political parties in the country, Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress have governed but failed to deliver.

He called on Nigerians to consider an alternative party with a competent candidate who can effectively manage the country’s affairs, noting that NNPP and former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have the qualities needed in the next leader.

In a statement he personally signed and obtained in Osogbo, Odeyemi said, “The 2027 presidential election is still distant, but people are already looking forward to it. We need a man of honour who will make promises and keep them to lead our dear country.

“The economic difficulties we are experiencing now are avoidable if our leaders were truthful and bold enough to dismantle the cabals disrupting Nigeria’s peace.

“We have tried the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress. We have seen their best, which has led us to where we are now — widespread hunger. Both parties have failed Nigerians. The country needs another option, and NNPP is that option.

“Why not try another party and a man of reputable character whose movement, Kwankwassiya, has greatly influenced politics and lives in Kano State? Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is prepared for governance. He is a born leader, and everything about him is transparent; there are no falsehoods about his life.”
