NPFL: Heartland Unveils 30 Players, Kano Pillars Sign 12 Players

The newly registered Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Heartland, have unveiled 30 new players ahead of the new season.

Heartland made this announcement days after their reinstatement into the NPFL due to the failure of Beyond Limits Academy to meet the league’s requirements.

Among the notable signings are Elvis Ori from Bayelsa United, Kelvin Ogunga also from Bayelsa United, and Udochukwu Anumudu from Abia Warriors. Additionally, they have secured promising talents such as Louis Umoh Anthony from Heartland Feeders, Alex Godwin from Niger Tornadoes, and Julius Namitanie.

The new additions also include Chukwudi Agor, Olanrewaju Molade, Nnemeka Nkwo, Samuel Wisdom, and Offor Chibueze from Giant Brillars, among others.

Emmanuel Amunike, the former coach of the Golden Eagles, has been appointed to lead the Imo State-owned club in the upcoming season.

Note that Heartland of Owerri will commence their NPFL campaign against Enyimba of Aba at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 8.

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars have also bolstered their squad for the 2024-25 NPFL season with the acquisition of 12 new players.

Notable signings include Chukwuemeka Oniya from Rangers, Abuchi Okeke from Sokoto United, and Charles Tembe from Remo Stars.

The unveiling of the new players took place at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, with high expectations for the upcoming season.

Kano Pillars will commence their campaign by taking on newly promoted side Ikorodu City at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina. The match will kick off at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 8.
