Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Kwara United has issued an official apology to their loyal supporters following their defeat to Niger Tornadoes in Ilorin on Sunday, September 8.

The team, known as the Harmony Boys, suffered a 2-1 loss against the Ikon Allah Boys at the Kwara State Sports Complex as they commenced their 2024-2025 NPFL campaign on a losing note.

Bashir Badawiy, the club’s general manager, expressed deep regret over the setback and assured fans that the technical staff would thoroughly analyze the team’s weaknesses and work diligently to regain their winning form. He also urged supporters to continue fulfilling their crucial role in supporting the team.

In their upcoming league game, Kwara United will face El-Kanemi Warriors as they aim to bounce back from their recent defeat.

Nasarawa United Beg For Support

Nasarawa United’s head coach, Kabiru Dogo, has emphasized the need for increased support for the team.

Dogo believes that enhanced support from fans will greatly contribute to the team’s success in the NPFL this season.

He praised his players for their performance in their recent 1-1 draw with Shooting Stars and stressed the importance of continued support from the fans and supporters for the team’s progression.

“Nasarawa United will need more of such support from the supporters and fans to succeed as the season wears on,” Dogo told Nasarawa United Media.

“I love the atmosphere. The reception we got from the fans was overwhelming.

“I’m full of praises for my boys as they put in their best, but came short in terms of experience, For me I will say 3SC were just lucky in the game because if you look at the number of chances we failed to convert compared to the two Shooting got, and scored one, you will agree with me that experience played a key role in them getting a point.”
