Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Katsina United, popularly known as the Chanji Boys, has successfully secured the services of defender Isma’il Muhammad Nasir.

Nasir, previously with former NPFL champions, Kano Pillars, has signed a two-year contract with Katsina United and has been formally introduced as the team’s newest member.

It is anticipated that he will join the team for pre-season training alongside his new teammates in the coming days.

Sani Abacha Stadium To Get a facelift

The Kano State Government has revealed plans to initiate maintenance work on the playing surface of the Sani Abacha Stadium, which serves as the home ground for NPFL club, Kano Pillars.

The State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, clarified that the stadium maintenance will be conducted in stages and assured that it will be completed before the commencement of the new NPFL season, which is set to kick off on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

Akwa United To Go Camping In Bayelsa

Akwa United have announced their participation in a pre-season tournament scheduled to commence on Monday, August 12, 2024, in Bayelsa.

This tournament presents an opportunity for Muhammad Babaganaru’s squad to enhance their overall fitness in preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Having recently resumed training after a four-week break, Akwa United is gearing up to face Lobi Stars in their first match of the new season.

Kennedy Boboye Extends His Stay In Akure

In a significant development for Sunshine Stars of Akure, head coach Kennedy Boboye has inked a one-year contract extension with the team.

Following his return to the club in the latter part of the previous season, Boboye played a pivotal role in securing Sunshine Stars’ position in the top-flight league and guiding them to the quarter-finals of the President Federation Cup.

Alongside this, key coaching staff members have also been retained and appointed for the upcoming season.

Kwara United To Remain In Ikenne

Kwara United have revealed plans to continue their pre-season preparations in Ikenne, Ogun state. This decision comes after the team participated in Value Jet’s pre-season tournament in the same location.

Chairman Kumbi Titiloye highlighted the conducive facilities and peaceful environment at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne as key factors that will aid the players in building cohesion ahead of the forthcoming NPFL season.

Rivers United Lands New Player

Rivers United have successfully finalized the signing of forward Aniekeme Okon, who previously played for Remo Stars.

Okon, a former Nigeria Under-20 international, signed a two-year contract with Rivers United and is expected to be officially unveiled as the club’s new player in time for the new season. His integration with the team will begin during the ongoing pre-season tournament in Ikenne.

Bitrus Wash Says Thanks To Plateau

Plateau United’s defender, Bitrus Wash, expressed his gratitude to the club for their unwavering support during his recovery from a serious Achilles tendon injury sustained in the previous NPFL season.

Having returned to training with the team and expressing optimism about a complete recovery, Wash conveyed his appreciation for the club’s care and shared his aspiration to be fully fit for the upcoming 2024-25 NPFL season.
