Lobi Stars are ramping up their preparations for the final NPFL match of the first half of the season against Heartland.

The Pride of Makurdi engaged in a dynamic training session at McCarthy Stadium on Tuesday, setting a positive tone for the upcoming NPFL encounter. They are set to face Heartland at Lafia City Stadium this Sunday.

Under the guidance of Daniel Amokachi, the team is focused on ending the year with a strong performance. “We held an energetic training session at McCarthy Stadium in Makurdi as we prepare for our Matchday 19 clash against Heartland FC of Owerri this weekend,” Lobi Stars shared on X.

This match holds particular importance, as it marks the last game of 2024 and the end of the first stanza of the NPFL 2024/2025 season.

“Securing a positive result is our goal as we aim to close the year on a high note,” they added.

Rangers Aim To Recover From Setback

Enugu Rangers forward Onyekachi Okafor expressed the team’s commitment to recovering lost points. The Flying Antelopes are set to face Niger Tornadoes in Minna this Sunday, following a challenging 1-0 defeat to Shooting Stars last week.

Okafor emphasized the determination within the squad to achieve victory in their next match. “Football involves winning, drawing, and losing; the loss to Shooting Stars is part of the game,” he told the Daily Post.

“Our focus is on bouncing back and fighting for maximum points in Minna. We are highly motivated and ready to secure a positive result.”
