Remo Stars’ technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, has emphasized the importance of continued hard work for his players as they gear up for the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The team emerged victorious in the 2024 Value Jet pre-season tournament in Ikenne, Ogun state, securing a 2-1 win over the newly promoted NPFL Club, Ikorodu City, in the final on Wednesday, July 31.

Following the win, Ogunmodede took to his X page and wrote: “Let’s keep working.”

Remo Stars are set to participate in another pre-season tournament, this time in Enugu as they prepare for the CAF Champions League next season.

Katsina United Sign Auwal Muhammad Adamu

Katsina United have finalized the signing of Auwal Muhammad Adamu from Nationwide League One side, Mailantarki Care FC.

Adamu, a 23-year-old winger, sealed a two-year deal with the club and is expected to earn a monthly salary of ₦300,000.

Adamu brings with him experience from playing on loan in the Egyptian League with Mahalla Baladiyat last season, as well as a stint in Portugal with SC Saguaro.

Niger Tornadoes make Majin Mohammed’s deal permanent

NPFL club, Niger Tornadoes have appointed Majin Mohammed as their substantive technical adviser.

Mohammed previously assumed the role on an interim basis and played a pivotal part in helping Tornadoes maintain their top-flight status last season.

Daniel Daga Leaves Nigeria

Former Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga has secured a move to Norwegian club Molde.

Daga, who has been the subject of transfer speculation, has signed a pre-contract with Molde and is expected to formalize a professional contract upon turning 18 in January 2025.

Daga had garnered attention from Sky Bet Championship club Watford and previously spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at NPFL club, Enyimba.

Rwandan Club Sign Two NPFL stars

Rwandan Premier League champions APR FC have bolstered their squad with the signing of Nigerian duo Godwin Odibo and Chidiebere Nwobodo.

Odibo, a winger, joins from Nigeria National League outfit Sporting Lagos, while Nwobodo is joining from NPFL champions Rangers.

Note that Nwobodo captained the Rangers to clinch the NPFL title last season.

With the recent additions, APR FC is primed to compete in the upcoming CAF Champions League season, with forward Victor Mbaoma already an integral part of the squad.
