Rivers United midfielder Duke Osimaga has expressed strong confidence in the team’s strategic approach to their matches, believing it will play a pivotal role in their pursuit of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

The Pride of Rivers currently sit at the top of the NPFL standings, boasting an impressive total of 20 points garnered from eight matches, which includes six victories and two draws.

In a recent interview with BSN Sports, Osimaga emphasized the players’ commitment and readiness to pour their hearts into every game to ensure success this season.

“By the special grace of God, I believe we are destined to win the league. Our tactical approach differs significantly for home and away games, which I think will be crucial,” he stated.

He added, “The players are eager and prepared to give their best effort. The management has been incredibly supportive, working diligently to ensure we reach our goal at the top of the table. We are also diligently adhering to the coach’s directives. The title is set to come to Rivers State.”

Abia Warriors’ captain Augustine Njoku is optimistic as his team gears up for their upcoming match against Bendel Insurance.
