Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Rivers United have secured the signing of Stephen Manyo from Katsina United.

Manyo, a standout player for Katsina United in the previous NPFL season, has joined the Pride of Rivers following the conclusion of his contract with the Chanji Boys.

As a formidable defender, Manyo is poised to compete for a regular starting position within the ranks of Rivers United as they gear up for the new season.

His previous experience includes stints at Enyimba and Shooting Stars.

Yusuf Ibrahim Leaves NPFL

Yusuf Ibrahim has moved to Armenian side FC Van from NPFL club Sunshine Stars.

Following a successful trial at the club, Ibrahim has committed to a two-year deal and has been subsequently loaned to FC West Armenia.

During his time with Kennedy Boboye’s Sunshine Stars, the 20-year-old forward scored 13 goals in 58 league appearances. He had previously plied his trade with Remo Stars.

Sunshine Stars Move To Ijebu Ode

Sunshine Stars have chosen the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode as their temporary home ground for the upcoming 2024-2025 NPFL season.

This decision stems from the Akure Township Stadium, their original home ground, failing to meet the standards required by the NPFL.

With preparations underway for the new season, the Owena Waves are poised to kick off their league campaign against Bayelsa United. The new NPFL season is set to commence on Saturday, August 31.
