The National Rescue Movement has distanced itself from the viral online registration of members into the party for a fee.
The National Chairman, NRM, Isaac Udeh, clarified in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.
He said, “The national leadership of the National Rescue Movement is unaware of this. We don’t know anything about it.
“We are, therefore, issuing this disclaimer to warn the general public to disregard it and not fall prey to the scammers.”
The viral post sighted by our correspondent partly read, “Please find below the registration link to register to become a member of NRM. The registration and membership card fee is ₦500, while the monthly dues are ₦500 per month.
“You are required to pay for your membership card, registration and three months subscription into this account: Concerned Stakeholders Forum, Fidelity Bank 5700143250.
“A 12-digit pin will be sent to you to enter your details and proceed with Registration Online.”
