OAU Announces Dates, Registration Process For 2024 Admission Screening

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has released the official dates for its 2024 admission screening exercise, targeting both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry candidates.

Naija News reports that prospective students who have chosen OAU as their first choice and scored 200 or above in the UTME, along with Direct Entry candidates, are eligible to participate.

The registration process will commence on Monday, August 5, 2024, and conclude on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

In a press statement obtained by Naija News on Monday, the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, K.A. Bakare, announced the “2024 Admission Screening Exercise (For UTME and Direct Entry Candidates).

The statement specifies that the screening will occur online, urging candidates to provide accurate information and upload correct credentials to prevent automatic disqualification

The statement reads, “Candidates who selected Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife as their first choice in the 2024 UTME and scored 200 and above, and those applying for Direct Entry, are informed that registration for the 2024 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination screening exercise will begin on Monday, 5th August and end on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

“The screening exercise will be conducted online. Applicants who provide false information or upload incorrect credentials will automatically be disqualified.

“Candidates are required to check their screening schedule on the OAU admissions portal from Tuesday, 3rd September to Saturday, 7th September 2024.

“Candidates will also be required to participate in the POST-UTME Screening on their allotted dates and times from 9th September to 13th September 2024.

“Applicants should note that the PUTME-Screening fee is two thousand naira (₦2,000.00) only (excluding portal access charges).”

Below is a step-by-step guide to registering for the admission screening exercise:

Step 1: Visit: https://admissions.oauife.edu.ng.

Step 2: Log on to the site with your Registration Number as Username and your Surname as Password (the password is not case-sensitive).

Step 3: Fill out the biodata form and click continue.

Step 4: Obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from this site only, and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

Step 5: Once payment is accepted, the system will log out, and you can log in again.
