The ceremony, which started last Monday, was graced by an impressive array of prominent royal figures, dignitaries, and esteemed guests who converged to witness the enthronement of the new monarch.

As part of the coronation rites, the new monarch paid homage to his predecessors, starting from Oba Daudu Fadile, who served as the first Bale of Igbagun Kingdom from 1920 to 1925. However, he wasn’t crowned as Oba.

The new monarch, his family, and well-wishers concluded the rites with a church Thanksgiving.

The new monarch promised to uphold the customs and traditions of his forefathers and work for the progress and development of his Kingdom.

With his coronation now complete, he is poised to lead the Igbagun Kingdom into a new era of growth and prosperity.

Among the notable royal figures in attendance were HRM Oba Samuel Ibilaye, the revered Adetula of Ilai Kingdom; HRH Oba Segun Aliu, the esteemed Ohnorare of Oranre Kingdom; Otunba Abidemi Agengbe, the illustrious Otunba of Ijowa; and a representative of the Yagba East Traditional Council.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Barrister Bola Fabola, leader of a legalised political family; respected religious leaders from various faith traditions; and other esteemed guests.

In their speeches, they prayed for the monarch‘s long life and sound health, abundant blessings and protection, mercy and success, wisdom and strength, and victory against all evils.

They also prayed that the kingdom would witness prosperity and progress under his leadership.
