The former President of Nigeria, Olusẹgun Obasanjo, has extended his endorsement and support for the upcoming 2nd edition of Cultural Oneness Festival powered by The Taste Of Afrika.
The endorsement took place in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, on Saturday 22, June 2024.
Obasanjo’s support marks a significant moment as the good people of Ghana, Africa and Diasporans prepare to celebrate our unity in diversity via Cultural Oneness Festival.
The Taste Of Afrika delegation was led by His Royal Highness, Nandom Naa Professor Delle, President of Nandom Traditional Council, where Tengol K. Kplemani, the CEO of The Taste Of Afrika, in a statement, said that they had a lot of collaborative discussions with Chief Oluṣẹgun Ọbasanjọ regarding the Cultural Oneness Festival initiative.
Obasanjo expressed optimism that Ghana, Africa and the rest of the world would gain from the Cultural Oneness Festival project when it’s given the needed push, support and recognition.
“I am very happy to see my brethren from Ghana embark on this massive project to promote culture, arts and tourism in Northern Ghana and beyond via Cultural Oneness Festival.
“Today, I can assure you that I am fully into this project and I, Olusegun Obasanjo, endorse it. Ghanaians should expect to see me at the event in Northern Ghana,” Obasanjo stated.
The Cultural Oneness Festival organisers also expressed gratitude for Obasanjo’s endorsement and support, emphasising its significance in enhancing the festival’s visibility and impact.
“Chief Olusegun Ogunboye Obasanjo’s support is a tremendous honour,” said the festival CEO Tengol K. Kplemani.
“It highlights the festival’s mission to promote unity and diversity through cultural exchange and continental visibility for economic empowerment.”
Scheduled to unfold from 13th – 16th November in the heart of Northern Ghana, the Cultural Oneness Festival promises to be a vibrant showcase of cultural heritage and communal harmony.
This year’s Cultural Oneness Festival promises an enriching line-up of activities to engage participants of all ages and backgrounds.
