Recently, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture Dr. Obi Asika, paid a courtesy visit to the Center for Black Arts and African Civilisation, CBAAC. The visit is aimed to join forces with CBAAC to preserve and showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage globally. He was received by the D.G, Hon. Aisha Adamu Augie and the other members of the CBAAC Management team.
The visit featured a complete tour of the Centre’s facilities, discussions on potential areas of collaboration, content development and a commitment to regular dialogue and joint projects.
Dr. Asika praised CBAAC’s efforts in promoting African arts and culture.

According to him, “I am impressed by the great work CBAAC is doing in promoting our cultural heritage. The Centre’s museum gives a reminiscence of those in America, and I believe that by making available the needed support and collaborations, our organizations will achieve more and showcase our rich cultural heritage to the rest of the world.”
In response, Hon. Augie commended NCAC’s dedication in fostering the development of the Nigerian Arts and culture sector through several of their activities. She also stressed the need for joint initiatives from both organizations to strengthen cultural ties in order to showcase the Nigerian culture on a global scale.
The courtesy visit ended with some words of encouragement and support from the NCAC, D.G, with a commitment to regular dialogue and explore joint projects that will solidify a stronger partnership between both organizations and as such yield fruitful results to enhance Nigeria’s creative industry, arts, and cultural heritage.
