The Kogi State Commissioner of Information, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has debunked reports claiming that Governor Usman Ododo attended a meeting of the People Democratic Party (PDP) governors forum.

Eyebrows were raised after pictures of Ododo and the PDP governors went viral on social media on Saturday, with some claiming that the Kogi State governor had defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reacting via a post on X, Fanwo clarified that Ododo had only attended a wedding in Taraba State.

“The Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, jetted out hours after his Supreme Court victory to attend the wedding of the daughter of the Taraba State Governor, His Excellency Agbu Kefas, in Taraba,” he wrote.

“The wedding was also attended by captains of industry and other governors across the country. Governor Ododo wishes the new couple a happy married life.”
