Ogun Speaker, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide and his commendable legislative strides

In Ogun State, there’s a cordial relationship between the executive and the legislative arms of government. The atmosphere of peace in the Gateway State has enabled the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to focus on his government agenda and business.

What many don’t know is that without the backing of the legislative arm, it would be practically impossible for Governor Abiodun to implement transformative policies. And that’s why the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has been commended by political watchers in the State for his exemplary leadership of the State Assembly.

Described as a team player, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide emerged the Speaker of the Ogun State Assembly after the exit of the former Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, who was impeached over allegations bordering on embezzlement of funds. Since assuming the leadership of the State Assembly, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has justified the confidence reposed in him by his colleagues.

In the last few months of being in the saddle as Speaker, Hon. Elemide has brought new energy to the running of the State Assembly. Under his leadership, the Assembly has become more vibrant, providing legislative backing to the State Government through various bills, resolutions and other intervention programmes aimed at the socio-economic betterment of various communities in Ogun State.

Not only that, Speaker Oludaisi has also embarked on an extensive renovation of the State Assembly complex in addition to the provision of toilet and water system for the State lawmakers and workers.

A man of his words, Speaker Elemide has lived up to our expectations in terms of transparency, purposeful leadership and legislative excellence. He has warmed his way into the hearts of many through his open door policy. Not the power drunk type, Speaker Elemide has brought so much finesse and class to the Office of the Speaker of the Ogun State Assembly.

In the area of his primary legislative assignment, Hon. Elemide has covered himself in glory. The Speaker has executed several projects in his Constituency. Not only that, he has also empowered hundreds of his constituents; and provided employment for many young people in his constituency.
