Okoli happy to join Foxes

Caleb Okoli has said he is happy to complete his transfer to Premier League club Leicester City from Atalanta in the Italian Serie A.

Central defender Okoli, 22, has signed a five-year contract till June 2029.

‘The Foxes’ coughed out 14 Million Euros for Okoli.

“I’m very happy with the choice I made, so I’m very excited to start in the Premier League,” he said.

“Now I’m here in Leicester I’m feeling ready to start with my new team.”

The Italy U21 international, who is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles, has needed more playing time at Atalanta.

Last season, he played on loan at Frosinone in the Serie A.

Okoli, who came through the Atalanta ranks, has also played on loan at SPAL and US Cremonese.
