Okpebholo: Do Not Vote An Illiterate Who Will Bring Insecurity To Our State – Ighodalo Tells Edo Residents

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State, Asue Ighodalo has made a veiled reference to the gaffe by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo.

Naija News recalls that Okpebholo made a gaffe while addressing the crowd during a campaign rally at Ovia North Local Government Area of the state.

The APC candidate had said, “We’re going to provide you with insecurity.”

Speaking on Monday at the Olua Primary School Field, Uselu, the venue of the PDP campaign rally in the Egor Local Government Area, Ighodalo, advised the people of the state against voting an illiterate who would bring insecurity to the state.

He pledged to bring out the best in the youth by harnessing their potential in a positive way for the good of all.

According to him, “We will work and bring out the creative potential of our youths in a way that will benefit all. We don’t need an illiterate who will bring insecurity.

“It’s time to move forward. Ogie (his running mate) and I are very ready to work for you all. So, don’t fear, don’t worry, we’re for you all. Prosperity has come for all. Just go out on the 21st and vote early and protect your votes.”
