Afrobeats singer, Anthony Victor, aka Victony, has revealed the role ace rapper and music executive, Olamide, played in his career.

The ‘Soweto’ crooner explained that he wanted to release an Extended Play, EP, because he felt he wasn’t ready to drop an album yet but the YBNL boss encouraged him to release a full-length project.

Speaking in a recent interview with Channels TV, Victony said he gave a shoutout to Olamide on his debut album ‘Stubborn’s’ cover because he inspired the album.

He said, “Shout out to Olamide again. Olamide is basically the reason why I have an album. He encouraged me to go for it. I wanted to put out a smaller body of work like an EP because I didn’t think I was ready for an album but after meeting Olamide and the words of encouragement he gave to me..

“Someone at that level making out time for people in my generation to make sure that we are making the right moves and doing what is necessary for our careers, I had to give him a shout out to let people know he was part of everything that has to do with my album.”
