Yamal, one of the tournament's standout players, became the youngest scorer in European Championship history at 16 years and 362 days, breaking a 20-year-old record, Goal reports.

His semi-final goal against France made him the youngest player to score in either the Euros or World Cup, surpassing Pele.

Additionally, he became the first player to create over six big chances at a major international tournament, leading with 15 chances overall.

Lamine Yamal sets new record

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Yamal has made history by becoming the youngest goalscorer in the UEFA Men's European Championship.

The 16-year-old teenager achieved this feat in the semifinal against France in Munich, Germany, on Tuesday, July 9.

Yamal's impressive goal, a curled shot from 25 meters, broke the previous record held by Switzerland's Johan Vonlanthen, who was 18 and 141 days old when he scored at Euro 2004.
