The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, led the EFCC staff on a walk against corruption nationwide yesterday.

He also called for an enhanced and consistent commitment to whistle-blowing by Nigerians from all walks of life to tackle the menace of economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.

The EFCC’s anti-corruption walk, which has become a constant occurrence, took place in FCT. The EFCC chairman and other directors, including its former spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, were in the lead.

The walk, commemorating 2024 AU Anti-corruption Day, also happened simultaneously in states like Abuja; the day was marked by a colourful Road Walk by EFCC staff and other stakeholders in the anti-corruption corridor.

Amidst dancing, singing, and exhilarating clarions, Olukoyede led the walk from the EFCC’s Wuse 2 Zonal office through the streets of Maitama and terminated it at the Unity Fountain.

It is usually a period during which the anti-graft agency raises awareness about the dangers of corruption in the country.

The commission staff, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, and journalists all participated in the walk.
