Oluremi Tinubu Expresses Condolences Over Plateau School Tragedy

First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has conveyed her deep sorrow following the recent collapse of a school building in Plateau State, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

Naija News reports that the unfortunate event at Saint Academy in Jos on Friday led to 22 schoolchildren’s deaths and left 132 injured, with several more trapped under the collapsed structure.

In a statement issued on Saturday by her spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi, Mrs. Tinubu extended her condolences to Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang, the affected families, and the entire community.

The First Lady prayed for comfort for the families of the victims and strength during this devastating time.

The statement read: “It is truly heartbreaking to learn of the school building’s collapse in Jos, which has claimed the lives of innocent children and their teachers.

“My heartfelt sympathies go out to His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Muftwang, the grieving families, and the people of Plateau State.

“It is profoundly tragic to lose children with such promising futures. While words may fail to console, I pray that God provides you with comfort and strength to endure this immense loss.

“May the souls of our precious ones rest in eternal peace. Amen.”
