Onanuga Knows That Northerners Are Behind Planned Protest, Not Peter Obi – MASSOB

The leadership of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has on Tuesday berated the federal government of Nigeria over its attack against the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over the planned nationwide protest.

The group argued that the protest is not orchestrated by Peter Obi or his nationwide supporters.

MASSOB claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s aide, Bayo Onanuga is aware that Northerners trying to hijack power in 2027 are behind the planned protest and not Obi.

Speaking via a statement by its leader, Uchenna Madu, MASSOB claimed that Onanuga is being sponsored by Bola Tinubu’s government to wage wars of character assassination on Obi.

According to Madu: “The federal government of Nigeria led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu knows that the motivation and inciting of the massive organised protest is not influenced by Mr Peter Obi but the Northern oligarchic leaders which includes some powerful northern political, religious, opinion and traditional leaders.

“The primary aim of these northern political bourgeoisies is not for the interest of poor Nigerian masses but for their advancement plot to hijack power back to Arewa interest in 2027. It is not about Mr Peter Obi or his supporters interest.

“My Bayo Onanuga and Omokiri are two leading internal and external figures sponsored by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal government of Nigeria in waging wars of character assassination, blackmailing and incitement against Mr Peter Obi.

“MASSOB described Mr Peter Obi as a true nationalist, detribalized hope of the common citizens. He is being celebrated nationwide as the hero of modern democracy in Nigeria.

“Though MASSOB believe in Biafra restoration, we acknowledged the input of Mr Peter Obi in advancement of uniting the Nigeria state.”
