The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as the Amotekun Corps, has paraded no fewer than 24 suspect criminals arrested across the state.

While profiling the suspects at the headquarters of the corps in Akure, the state capital, Amotekun commander, Adetunji Adeleye, revealed that a kidnapping victim was rescued by operatives of the corps.

According to Adeleye, the arrest of the suspect was made following an operation conducted in collaboration with other security agencies in the state.

He said the suspects were arrested for offences such as kidnapping, armed robbery, theft, possession of firearms, and destruction of CCTV cameras, among others.

“We paraded 24 suspects. We are pleased to report that the security situation in the state is very stable. Law and order are being maintained, and the anti-open grazing law is being enforced.

“Human trafficking has decreased, and issues of cultism and militancy have nearly disappeared. Kidnapping activities are mainly confined to the borders and are being addressed,” he said.

Speaking on the middle-aged lady, Bisola Olisa, who was rescued following her abduction by suspected kidnappers, Adeleye said: “Regarding the recent kidnapping case in Supare, which recorded one fatality and four victims being taken into the bush, the Corps responded immediately in collaboration with other security agencies.

“We apprehended two suspects, one of whom is here, and we are confident that we will secure the release of the remaining victims.”
